Jeremiah 1:4-19
So many Christian youths are becoming
conscious of the fact that God has need of them at this last time. The
Lord will not continue to keep quiet but has decided to arise to confound the
wise men of the present generation and show that He is the Lord. But then, it
is possible that many of these youths are already manifesting doubts, anxiety
and fear about succeeding in this mission. Jeremiah received a great and
wonderful information, but his response was one of fear “I cannot speak: for I am a
child”. Gideon responded the same way when he remembered His
background. He said “Oh
my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? Behold, my family is poor in
Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house” (Judges 6:14-15). Moses did
likewise (Exodus 3:11; 4:10). For Joseph and David, their brethren tried
to put fear in them (Genesis 37:18-19; 1 Samuel 17:28).
Despite discouragements and anxiety that
seemed apparent, God’s word prevailed. He still went ahead to tell them
more of what He wanted them to do for Him (Jeremiah 1:6; Exodus 3:12; 4:10,
12). Since this is the case, it is clear you cannot reject the calling,
therefore your response should simply be “Lord,
what will thou have me to do?”. Let’s
now see what He is sending you to do.
What The Lord Would Have You To Do
(Jeremiah 1:7, 10; 2 Kings. 9:4-10)
As a youth on the height, you are a
‘watcher’ and a warrior. As a ‘watcher’, you are to pass decrees over
unacceptable situations and declare what must hold (cons. Daniel 4:13-17) and
as a warrior, you are to blow the trumpet declaring war against the enemies of
God and mankind and move on to fight against:
All the whoredom and witchcraft of Jezebel
and her daughters (2 Kings 9:20-22, 30-37). It includes all
manner of worldliness, immorality, prostitution, ungodly relationship between
boys and girls, homosexualism, lesbianism, single parenting which is not as a
result of the death of husband or wife, but by choice or divorce, etc. Every
spiritual wickedness, cultism in schools (those that want to appear rough and
speak the language of those in fraternities) and homes and all manner of child
trafficking, perverseness must be remembered . Every ungodly and immoral
displays in Church is included. All these must be fought and banished. Their
initiators and propagators must not go free.
The killings of the children of ‘Rachael’
and the spilling of the blood of ‘Naboth.’ (Matthew 2:16-18; 1 kings 21:1-16).
The cries of the blood of children and youth, fathers and mothers, men
and women spilled by robbers, ritual killers, kidnappers, terrorists and
through abortion and evil uniformed men have reached God and it is time for
judgment. All those who are responsible for this must pay for it.
All diversion of the worship of the true
God to the worship of Baal’ (Ezekiel 22:25-28; 2 Kings 10:18-28). This
includes all false prophets/teachers, religious errors and strange
fire/doctrine, demonstration of power without purity by so called men and women
of God, religious prostitution, tsunami of fashion in church, and worship of
self and man.
The intimidations from ‘Ahab’ and the
powers that be (1 Kings 20:1-6; 21:1-7; 2 King. 18; Acts
4:13-21). All oppressors of widows and orphans and the fatherless, ungodly
government policies, unruly lecturers/teachers, examination malpractices
(willingly done and those enforced on students in post primary schools, post
secondary (higher institutions of learning), WAEC, NECO, JAMB), unnecessary
sexuality education, immoral media/bill board adverts deceiving youths to
believe a lie, all threatenings and influences (spiritual, physical,
economical, etc) against a youth's Christian experiences, etc must be visited
now by the Lord’s young warriors.
There are so many other aspects but as one
engages in the battle, the Lord will unfold them. Having seen this, it is
clear that it is not a time of self pity or of saying I am not able, I am a
child.
Any youth who shies away from this call of
the Lord because he is surrounded by peace and dwells in safety may soon
discover that the evil is at his door step and this time from the Lord Himself
as was the case with Elisha (2 Kings 6:26-32; Jeremiah 1:17). This is a
time to come to the aid of the Lord. Men and spirits have done what
pleased them and God is set to do what pleases Him. Children and youths have
been victims of the after-mart of all perpetrated evils of these last days but
God will by the same victimized youths visit them in His wrath.
Note:
This means that no youth who
is engaging in this warfare can afford to toy with sin or be guilty of the same
charges leveled against the enemy (Matt. 7:3-5). If in any way you find
yourself in any of the things mentioned above, you must cry out to the Lord to
deliver you this day (1 John 1:9).
This is therefore the time to take charge
of your post and raise the trumpets to your mouth and declare war against all
unrighteousness (Jeremiah 51:27-29).
His Assuring Voice To You (Jeremiah 1:7,9,
17-19).
Your size; physical, spiritual or
otherwise is the not priority at this point in time. The matter is urgent
and God has taken responsibility to execute His counsel and will (Jeremiah
1:12).
The Lord will put His words in your mouth
so that you do not need to think of what to say (Jeremiah 1:9; Matthew
10:19-20). Though you are a youth, yet the Lord will give you the mind of
a brave warrior (1 Samuel 17:32-51). There is no weapon against you that
can prosper because you have been made a defensed city and pillar (Jeremiah
1:18; Isaiah 54:15-17). The power of the Lord will be with you to declare
the transgression of the people to them (Micah 3:8). He has promised to
be with you and to deliver you. The fear of God in you shall intimidate
the enemy.
The Lord, the Master of the squad says
this day “say not, I am a
child,” but rather “gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them all that
I command thee, be not dismayed at their faces...”
You can now arise and wipe out the Ahabs and Jezebels and their works around you, in your
environment and in this nation.
